Good businesses work best with simple goals that all workers know and keep in mind in their day-to-day business. We have a business philosophy that is as simple as ABC.  Look around, and you will probably be able to name companies that have good products, smart people, and are successful, primarily thanks to a simple strategy that everyone understands. One remarkable example is the construction of the One World Trade Center, the monolith built to replace the Twin Towers.  In the documentary made on the project, Steven Plate, Chief of Major Capital Projects, is interviewed on various difficult phases of the project.  Sitting at his desk, you can see a paper behind him on the wall that clearly mentions DELIVER!

It does not matter how good your products are, or how competitive your pricing is, if you do not deliver, you are out.  What makes our company successful is living by this ABC model.


Availability is of vital importance to support our philosophy.  We have excellent control on manufacturing on time and a well-planned logistics system.  A key factor is having close customer service and warehousing in both the United States and Europe.  For Europe, we are strategically located in The Netherlands, with Rotterdam as the main port and having a warehouse in the south, near Den Bosch.  Exact Medical Manufacturing’s branded products are stocked in our European Distribution Center, supporting our distributor network to have a continuous flow of goods.  Exact Medical also supports made-to-order products with firm agreements on lead-time.

The ABC plan helps our distributors to establish and grow their business.  Our distributors work hard to introduce our products to hospitals, often with long and labor intensive processes before a product can finally be introduced.  Manufacturers can only be successful when they deliver as promised.  It is as simple as ABC. Biography of Thijs van den Hoven

Thijs is the Business Unit Director of Exact Medical European Sales, Marketing and Logistics.  Thijs is an accomplished director with domestic and international experience. He shows to be self-motivated, organized and capable of working under pressure. He has a clear, logical mind with a practical approach to problem solving and a drive to see things through to completion. He enjoys working on his own initiative or with a team. In short, he is reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and eager to learn.  Thijs has experience in operations, P&L oversight, multichannel product distribution involving start-up and growth of organizations. His career has been in the healthcare sector for the past 10 years.

Thijs’ technical background enables him to help customers in designing products to get maximum results. Translating customer’s ideas and wishes to the production team is one of his strongest points. Being the liaison between our European customers and the production teams in the US and China, with all its cultural aspects, is where he finds passion.
